    Polling persisted in some polling centres in Andhra Pradesh past 10 pm on Thursday as voters stood in long queues ready for their turn to lisp their franchise.

    Without food and water for three to four hours, girls and men folk were viewed standing in queues at the polling centres in Guntur, Krishna and diversified districts.

    The polling assignment used to be delayed due to malfunctioning of EVMs and violence.

    Though the polling ended at 6 p.m., officers acknowledged those standing in queues would be allowed to vote.

    Chief Electoral Officer Gopal Krishna Dwivedi acknowledged the polling used to be on even at 400 polling stations even after 6 p.m. He acknowledged the diagram would continue till the total voters standing in queues solid their votes.

    Polling used to be held for 175-member Meeting and 25 Lok Sabha seats within the allege.
