NEW DELHI: The Centre and the Delhi authorities moved theSupreme Courton Wednesday arresting the rejection of their plea by theDelhi excessive court docketagainst the trial court docket’s dispute staying the execution of four loss of life-rowconvictsin the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case.
Hours after the excessive court docket verdict, the Centre and the Delhi authorities filed an enchantment arresting it in the apex court docket.
The excessive court docket said the total four convicts in theNirbhaya case
must be executed together
, no longer separately, and blamed the authorities concerned for no longer taking steps for issuance of loss of life warrant after rejection of appeals of the convicts by the Supreme Court in 2017.
The trial court docket had on January 31 stayed “till additional orders” execution of the four convicts in the case – Mukesh Kumar Singh (32), Pawan Gupta (25), Vinay Kumar Sharma (26) and Akshay Kumar (31), who are lodged in Tihar Penal complex.
