Maharashtra govt demands Rs 120 cr for Wankhede stadium rent renewal – Hindustan Times


The Maharashtra govt has demanded Rs 120 crore from the Wankhede Stadium here for the renewal of its rent, the speak Assembly used to be told Friday.

The stadium is owned by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). It additionally houses the headquarters of the Board of Management for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Income Minister Chandrakant Patil, in a written acknowledge, said the Mumbai metropolis district collector despatched a seek to the MCA about the dues on April 16 this year.

The earlier rent settlement expired on February 5, 2018, and the MCA had written to the manager minister searching for its renewal in 2017 itself, the acknowledge said.
