    Legendary actor and playwright Girish Karnad dies at 81 in Bengaluru


    Legendary actor and playwright Girish Karnad died of plenty of organ failure in Bengaluru. The 81-twelve months-faded actor breathed his final on Monday morning in Bengaluru.

    Frail actor and playwright Girish Karnad died on Monday morning in Bengaluru. The 81-twelve months-faded actor, who used to be being handled for a chronic illness, passed away after plenty of organ failure. The funeral will happen as of late at Kalpalli electric crematorium in Byappanahalli, Bengaluru.

    Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also tweeted his condolences, “Deeply saddened by the news of death of Girsh Karnad ji. He’ll be remembered for his work as a Theater personality, film actor, and director. My deepest condolences to his family, chums & fans. #OmShanti.”

    The Jnanpith Awardee used to be a favored title in the film circle moreover to theatre circle.

    He made his performing debut in a Kannada film Samskara in 1970. He also labored in Hindi movies appreciate Manthan (1976), Pukar (2000), Iqbal (2005), Dor (2006), Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) .

    Girish Karnad, who used to be a famed playwright, had predominantly acted in South Indian movies in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. He used to be largely chosen to play harmful characters in most of his movies and performed it with mighty aplomb.

    He used to be final seen in Kannada in 2018 film Neenillada Male. His distinguished works in Tamil encompass 24, Kadhalan, Chellamey.
