Bengaluru, Sep 25 (IANS)Karnataka’s league cricket team Belagavi Panthers’ proprietor Asfaq Ali Thara was arrested for his alleged involvement in a having a wager scam within the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) Match, bustle by the Karnataka Sing Cricket Association (KSCA), police said on Wednesday.
“On a tip-off that Thara was fervent with a Dubai-essentially based bookie, the metropolis’s central crime branch police have taken him into custody on Tuesday to unearth the having a wager scam within the league cricket,” Bengaluru joint commissioner of police Sandeep Patil said here.
The KSCA runs the KPL T-20 tournament yearly on the lines of the liked Indian Premier League (IPL) T-20 tournament by the money-rich Board of Administration for Cricket in India (BCCI).
